Welcome to the Lagos International Christian Church where we love God and love people.
We are A Member of the SoldOut Discipling Movement; A non-denominational Bible-based international Christian Church with a dream to evangelise the nations in our generation (Matthew 28:18-20, 1 Timothy 2:3-4). We believe God’s eternal plan was to create a people who would love him forever and accomplish this dream. In the Old Testament God uses prophecy and foreshadowing to reveal his heart toward a lost world. Isaiah 2:1-4 and Daniel 2:31-35 are incredible prophecies supporting the New Testament Kingdom and world evangelism. We believe Jesus’ primary mission was the cross (Matthew 16:21), but his primary message was the Kingdom (Acts 1:3). We have embraced this same message with a vision to plant churches all over English-speaking West Africa in our generation.
Our faith has been shown by our deeds as on May 26th, 2016, a mission team of 11 disciples from the United States and the UK – with a handful of faithful disciples in Nigeria – joined together to plant the Lagos International Christian Church! Today we have disciples from all around Lagos representing multiple tribes and nations. Accountants, Technical Gurus, Social media influencers, Teachers, Psychologists, Pharmacists, Medical professionals, Chefs, HR managers and so on underscore the professions of some of our members. We have a thriving campus ministry representing several Nigerian universities – University of Lagos, Lagos state university, Yaba college of technology, University of Benin, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Bowen University and Caleb University.
With community projects for the rural areas of Lagos including the Okobaba community and focused campaigns that have helped former cult leaders, victims of domestic violence, victims of emotional abuse, substance abusers, people struggling with mental health challenges, single mothers, single fathers, orphans and homeless youth, we are striving to live lives worthy of our calling (Ephesians 4:1). We see ourselves as “nobodies” telling “everybody” about “somebody” (Jesus) who can save “anybody.”
Our values are based on Love and respect for God’s word as well as Love and respect for every human life irrespective of where you are from. We are a fired-up congregation, but we also have lots of fun! We believe in Fun, Faith and Fellowship!
Simply stated, our purpose is to Love the Lord Our God with all of Our Heart, all of Our Minds, all of Our Soul, and all of Our strength.
