Dr. Andrew & Patrique Smellie

Overseeing Evangelist & Women’s Ministry Leader for Africa

Dr. Andrew & Patrique Smellie serve as the Lead Evangelist & Women’s Ministry Leader for the Lagos International Christian Church and Overseers for the Africa & Mid-Atlantic U.S. World Sector of the SoldOut Discipling Movement.  Having served for over 10 years in the United States as church planters (Washington, DC) and also church builders (Hollywood, CA, Syracuse, NY, West Los Angeles, CA, and New York, NY), the Smellies faithfully relocated their entire family to Lagos, Nigeria and now oversee the evangelization of the entire African continent!

Andrew & Patrique have earned advanced degrees in Ministry from the International College of Christian Ministries (ICCM), where Andrew served as Professor and Dean for the Graduate School in Los Angeles, having received his Masters degree specializing in Christian Apologetics.  Since arriving in Lagos, Andrew and Patrique have started an ICCM extension school in Lagos to train qualified disciples of Jesus for the full-time ministry.  In 2016, he was awarded a Doctorate in Ministry, having successfully overseen multiple churches for several years and completing his dissertation on the Book of Job, entitled,  “Proven Genuine: How Discipling from God and Men Produces Spiritual Integrity.”

Before answering God’s call to the ministry, the Smellies also earned advanced degrees in Health Administration (Andrew – B.S. & M.H.A – Cornell University) and Public Administration & Law (Patrique – B.A., M.P.A., J.D – Johns Hopkins University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs & Syracuse University College of Law, respectively).  After graduating from law school, Patrique worked as an attorney for 5 years.  She practiced Corporate Litigation in a private law firm.  She later opened her own law office, practicing Family and Criminal Law.  The Smellies are grateful to God to be parents of their two beautiful children, Naomi (7) and Isaiah (5).
